Brasil Foods y Marfrig finalizan el intercambio de activos

Marfrig adquiere el total de 10 activos de Brasil Foods

El 1º de agosto, el procesador de carne de aves y cerdos Seara Foods, parte de Marfrig Alimentos S.A., se hizo cargo de dos plantas de producción en Brasil, en Brasilia, Distrito Federal y Várzea Grande, Mato Grosso, en los términos del acuerdo comercial entre Brasil Foods y Marfrig de marzo. Esta acción concluye el intercambio de activos entre las empresas, lo que dio a Seara Foods un total de 10 activos, entre ellos los ocho centros de distribución y las 13 marcas que antiguamente eran parte de BRF.

Esta adquisición permite que Seara Food aumente su capacidad diaria de sacrificio de 2.5 millones a 3 millones de pollos, y de 11,200 toneladas a 13,700 toneladas de cerdo.

“Entendemos que los activos de BRF pueden acumular US$1,700 millones en ingresos”, dijo David Palfenier, CEO de Seara Brasil, la matriz de Seara Foods.
